The individual responsible for the Causeway Programme is the Director of Criminal Justice at the Northern Ireland Office.
He chairs the programme's Steering Group which comprises the heads of the criminal justice organisations (CJOs). The
Steering Group provides strategic direction to the programme and takes the key 'stop/go' decisions.
Day to day oversight of the programme is vested in the Programme Executive Team made up of senior management
representatives from each of the participating organisations.
The Steering Group have appointed a Programme Manager to direct all activities relating to Causeway. He manages a team of
business analysts, technical experts and professional advisers that is supported by a small administration group. The
individual CJOs provide input to the programme through staff working for short periods on particular tasks. The agencies
themselves will manage and staff the development of their business applications, coordinating their work through the
Programme Support Office.

The programme is subject to Government Gateway Reviews and is funded by the Northern Ireland Office.
